added to the shock stresses
The maximum accelerations possible under the shock
tests shall be utilized in the construction of hold-down bolts, supporting feet or
lugs, and main structural member of the equipment. No failure or permanent
deformation shall occur as a result of shock. Unless the manufacturer has reason
to believe that higher accelerations may occur, components of an assembly mounted
on a common rigid base need not be constructed for accelerations higher than the
values for which the whole assembly is constructed,
3.5.5 Mechanical vibration. Equipment shall be free of self-induced
destructive vibration under all operating conditions. The equipment shall be in
accordance with type II of MIL-STD-167-1
3.5.5.1 Environmental vibration. The equipment shall withstand the
environmental vibration requirements of MIL-STD-167-1, type I (see 6.2).
3.5.6 Electromagnetic interference. The purifier shall conform to the
electromagnetic interference suppression requirements of MIL-STD-461 for surface
ships (class A4).
3.6 Environmental conditions. Equipment shall operate continuously at rated
capacity under any combination of the range of environmental conditions specified
herein.
3.6.1 Temperatures.
Temperatures shall be as specified in table IV.
